About
Fantasia is a single-movement work composed for the 200th anniversary of the Parliament of New South Wales. Rather than presenting a literal depiction of place, the piece responds to the idea of New South Wales through musical movement, colour, and contrast.
The work brings together rhythmic energy, and shifting textures to suggest a sense of landscape, public occasion, and cultural plurality. Its form unfolds as a continuous musical reflection, allowing the celebratory context to be shaped through sound rather than direct description.
